Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using TailorCV AI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TailorCV AI provides an AI-powered tool that rewrites resume bullet points to better match job descriptions. The Service also generates cover letters, ATS scores, and PDF exports. Output is generated by Claude AI (Anthropic) and is provided for informational and productivity purposes only.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:
  • Use the Service to generate false, fabricated, or misleading resume content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Resell or redistribute AI-generated outputs as your own service.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of content you submit to or export from the Service.

5. AI-generated content

The Service uses Claude AI (Anthropic) to rewrite resume content. We instruct the AI to rephrase only and not fabricate experience. However, AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. You must review all AI-generated content before using it in a job application. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate AI output.

6. Subscriptions and billing

  • Free tier: 3 resume tailorings per calendar month at no charge.
  • Pro plan: $12.00 per month, billed monthly via Stripe, for unlimited tailorings.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time via the billing portal.
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of a charge if the Pro features were not used.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

7. Intellectual property

  • You retain all rights to your original resume content and job description text.
  • AI-generated tailored content is owned by you.
  • The TailorCV AI name, logo, code, and design are owned by us and may not be copied or reused.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews, offers, or any particular outcome. ATS scores are estimates and may not reflect the actual scoring of any specific employer's system.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TailorCV AI and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or via an in-app notice for material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
